Breast Cancer Support Services
The BCSS provides specially trained volunteers who provide emotional support for women diagnosed with breast cancer. These volunteers have all had breast cancer but will have completed treatment at least two years earlier.

Sydney Breast Cancer Institute
The Sydney Breast Cancer Institute is a treatment, education and research facility encompassing a network of Sydney's leading hospitals and research bodies. The institute works closely with other state medical and research organisations to complement the work being done in breast cancer treatment. The Institute offers comprehensive care through its multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer treatment. The Institute receives funding from the NSW Department of Health through the Central Sydney Area Health Service. The Institute also receives funding from the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation for many of its initiatives in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, medical and consumer education, acquisition of specialised equipment and staff and breast cancer research.

Australian New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group (ANZ BCTG)
The ANZ BCTG is Australia's national organisation dedicated entirely to breast cancer research. It conducts a National Clinical Trials Program for the treatment of all stages of breast cancer and for the prevention of breast cancer and is currently calling for volunteers for several trials.

NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre The NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre (CTC), an academic research organisation, runs a wide variety of clinical trials including large multicentre investigator-initiated trials as well as taking part in trials of national and international collaborative groups and contributing expertise to trials run by others. The CTC also undertakes research into trial methods and reviews evidence from completed trials.

Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG) TROG Cancer Research is Australia and New Zealand's specialist clinical research group for cancers that can be treated with radiotherapy. TROG is a cooperative multi-disciplinary organisation dedicated to the control of a wide range of cancers through quality multi-centre research. Currently over 300 clinicians and other researchers and over 8000 patients have contributed to the TROG research program. Through these collaborative efforts, involving more than 60 cancer treatment centres across Australia and New Zealand, as well as contributing centres internationally, TROG has launched over 50 cancer research trials and achieved significant improvements in patient care and outcomes.

Lifepool Lifepool is a unique opportunity for women to support cutting-edge medical research. The National Breast Cancer Foundation, in partnership with Cancer Australia, has funded lifepool. Together with 100,000 Victorian women, our team of scientists, health professionals and epidemiologists will create a unique resource for research. The lifepool resource will support research into prevention, screening and treatments aimed at reducing the impact of breast cancer. As a member of the lifepool Project, every woman can make a significant contribution toward improving the health of Australian women.

The Breast Cancer Tissue Bank The Breast Cancer Tissue Bank (BCTB) is a non-profit breast cancer research resource dedicated to providing material and associated data to Australian researchers. Funding is provided by NHMRC, The National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Cancer Institute of NSW. Women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and who are undergoing an operation to remove the cancer are invited to become donors to the Breast Cancer Tissue Bank. The overall aim of the Breast Cancer Tissue Bank is to improve our ability to manage breast cancer in the future.

kConFab - Kathleen Cuningham Foundation National Consortium for Research on Familial Breast Cancer kConFab is a consortium of geneticists, clinicians, surgeons, genetic counsellors, psychosocial researchers, pathologists and epidemiologists from Australia and New Zealand. It aims to make data and biospecimens widely available to researchers for use in peer-reviewed, ethically-approved funded research projects on familial aspects of breast cancer. kConFab is funded by the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and the National Health and Medical Research Council. It is governed by an executive committee appointed by the membership.
